ACCA- Qualified Accountant - London - permanent

Are you ACCA qualified or a finalist looking for your next challenge?


We are currently seeking an ACCA qualified Accountant to work on a permanent basis in London.
You will be working for a private equity firm based in London and you will be reporting to the Group Financial Controller.

This is an exciting opportunity to get stuck in, build relationships with senior stakeholders with a lot of opportunities to learn and grow and support a small Finance team.

Key Responsibilities:


•Implementing new Accounting software and documenting procedures
•Managing the end-to-end management accounting process for the property entities and holding company, including budgeting and P&L reporting
•Assisting with the Group annual audit, reviewing accounts and liaising with auditors
•Assisting with cost control and budgeting data for the property entities, including collating data for review and monthly variance analysis
•Management of the P11D and PSA process, requiring a good understanding of Taxable Benefits
•Preparation of Companies House Annual Submission
•Management of the Accounts Payable function for the Group, including weekly payment, runs; coding; inputting in the accounting system; obtaining approvals; maintaining supplier contract register; liaising with suppliers, and credit card and expense processing
•Assisting with VAT returns
•Monthly general ledger journals for the Group
•Monthly bank reconciliations for the Group
•Monthly balance sheet reconciliations for the Group
•Finance Administrative support

Key Skills Required:

•Newly qualified or finalist (ACCA/CIMA)
•A thorough, methodical approach
•Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
•Good understanding of double entry
•Good understanding of reconciliation
•Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•Good IT skills, particularly in the use of spreadsheets & Accounting software - Net Suite experience is advantageous.
•Self-motivation
•The ability to work as part of a team
