Data Modeler – Banking & Regulatory Reporting

We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join a major banking transformation programme focused on regulatory reporting, enterprise data management, and data governance.

In this role, you will work closely with business stakeholders, regulatory reporting teams, data architects, and technology teams to design and maintain robust data models that support critical banking processes and regulatory requirements. You will play a key role in ensuring that complex business concepts are translated into scalable, auditable, and high-quality data structures that drive reporting, analytics, and strategic decision-making.

You will have the opportunity to work across key banking domains including customers, credit risk, exposures, financial instruments, collateral, capital adequacy, and finance data, contributing to initiatives aligned with FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit, and BCBS 239 requirements.

Key Skills & Experience

• 4+ years' experience in Data Modelling within Banking or Financial Services
• Strong understanding of banking data domains including Risk, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, Lending, Capital, and Financial Products
• Experience supporting regulatory reporting initiatives such as FINREP, COREP, AnaCredit, or similar frameworks
• Knowledge of BCBS 239 principles and data governance best practices
• Proven experience designing conceptual, logical, and data warehouse models
• Strong understanding of data modelling methodologies including ER Modelling, Third Normal Form (3NF), and Dimensional Modelling (Star/Snowflake)
• Hands-on experience with data modelling tools such as Erwin, ER/Studio, PowerDesigner, or similar
• Strong SQL skills and understanding of relational databases
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data integration concepts
• Familiarity with data governance, metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks
• Experience working with data cataloguing and governance tools such as Collibra, Alation, or Informatica is advantageous
• Ability to translate complex regulatory and business requirements into structured data solutions
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
• Experience working within large-scale data warehouse or enterprise data programmes
• Fluency in English and French
