IBM Mainframe Cobol Developer

3 Year long contract position (with the opportunity to extend) as a IBM Mainframe COBOL Developer with a day rate of over €350, plus a modern office layout, including an innovation lab and casual attire.

Key skills: -

• University degree in Computer Science or a comparable education

• Experience in securities financing and/or collateral management functionality would be an advantage.

• Certifications in Programming Languages (Cobol), or practical experience of at least 5 years

• Good communication and analytical skills.

• Certifications in databases are an advantage (DB2, IMS, Oracle ) or practical experience of at least 5 years

• Certifications in Software Development Methodology would be an advantage

• Proficiency in written and spoken English, German would be an advantage.

Working with a world-renowned, financial organisation, we are looking for highly motivated, deadline-driven IBM Mainframe Cobol Developer to work in prestigious modern offices in the center of Prague.

Role Responsibilities:

• Review functional specifications, prepare technical design deliverables

• Build high quality code

• Prepare Development and testing environments for unit test

• Unit test of the components

• Expand regression test suite

• Consolidate technical documentation

• Ensure support bug fixing during the test phases

• Improve know-how with regard to technologies and business

• Support production applications in Mainframe environments

We expect that you will already have significant experience in a similar position and within Financial Services would be a plus.
