Project Manager

Duration: 12 months (strong view of extension)

Location: UK-Remote

Responsibilities:

•Deliver assigned projects from conception to completion;
•Project management and governance for assigned projects
•Developing strong, trusting, and credible relationships with business functions;
•Manage the delivery of project products as defined by the Quality Management System
•Day-to-day management of assigned projects from appointment, supervising, and closing the project, also including;
•Being the day-to-day person responsible, on behalf of Enterprise Wide Technology, for the successful delivery of the new/evolved IT capability;
•Managing and resolving any risks and other issues that may arise;
•Managing the project's budget, monitoring the expenditure and costs against benefits that are realized as the project progresses
•Facilitating the appointment of individuals to the project delivery teams;
•Ensuring architectural coherence within the Appropriate Technology Design Authority
•Managing communications with stakeholders;
•Reporting progress of the project/program at regular intervals to Programme Managers;

Skills and Experience:

Essential:
•Demonstrable project management expertise with experience of having delivered a number of large and complex projects
•A minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering IT/Business related programs and projects;
•Appreciation of cyber risk and experience in leading projects that deliver mitigating controls.
•Ability to work positively with the full range of individuals and groups involved in the project
•Driven and enthusiastic with a ‘can-do’ attitude and a strong sense of ownership to get the job done in a practical, pragmatic, and collaborative fashion
•A strong problem solver with a pragmatic and tenacious attitude to seek out resolutions.
•Demonstrable experience of proactively managing people impacts with regard to changes in ways of working.
•Strong/effective communicator able to also articulate the ‘case for change’ at multiple stakeholder groups across the Business.
•Excellent interpersonal skills that inspire confidence in you and the delivery of projects under your leadership;
•Analytical skills to assist in ensuring business requirements and technical implementation are clearly defined.

Desirable
•Exposure to agile delivery methodologies would be beneficial
•Educated to degree level in an IT or business-related subject or relevant experience in a business or IT environment;
•Being able to understand the wider objectives and strategy of the Information Security Transformation Programme.
