Python Quantitative Developer (AVP)
Location: Prague, Czech Republic
Join a global engineering team developing next-generation quantitative analytics, trading, and risk management platforms used across multiple asset classes.
As a Python Quantitative Developer, you will design, develop, and enhance strategic analytics platforms and quantitative libraries, supporting the evolution of core front-office systems. Working closely with traders, risk managers, quants, and technologists, you'll deliver high-performance solutions that support business-critical decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain quantitative analytics and trading applications using Python.
- Design scalable, high-quality software solutions following engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with traders, quants, and business stakeholders to deliver impactful technology solutions.
- Contribute to platform architecture, code reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with governance, risk, and control requirements.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong Python development skills with professional software engineering experience.
- Solid understanding of software design, architecture, and code review practices.
- Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
- Experience working with SQL and relational databases.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
Desirable Skills
- Exposure to financial markets or products such as Rates, FX, Credit, Equities, or Commodities.
- Experience with data technologies such as Airflow, Spark, or kdb+/q.
- Understanding of data governance, controls, and regulated environments.
- Ability to work collaboratively across business and technology teams.
