Software Tester – Cash Processing Applications

We are seeking a Software Tester to support the testing of our Cash Processing application. This role is focused on validating business-critical payment flows, ensuring high functional quality, and identifying defects across both standard and complex edge-case scenarios.

This position is ideal for a methodical, curious, and self-driven tester who is keen to build expertise in a complex, high-impact financial domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, execute, and document test cases for the Cash Processing application
• Validate functional and integration flows related to cash payments and transaction processing
• Identify, reproduce, and clearly document defects with accuracy and attention to detail
• Carefully structure test scenarios, including negative paths and edge cases
• Collaborate closely with Functional Analysts to clarify requirements and expected system behaviour
• Support regression, system, and end-to-end testing activities across releases

Required Skills and Experience

• Strong attention to detail with a structured, organised approach to testing
• Ability to design logical test cases and think critically about edge cases
• Proactive and self-motivated, with a strong eagerness to learn
• Curious, disciplined, and committed to developing expertise in cash processing and payments
• Ability to work independently, self-train, and confidently ask questions, particularly in the following areas:
  • Cash payments industry
  • SWIFT network and ISO 20022 payment messages (PACS.008, PACS.009, CAMT.054)
  • TARGET2
• Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g. JIRA)
