Location: Luxembourg, with a high degree of remote working flexibility
Working pattern: Hybrid, with a minimum of 5 days per month on-site in Luxembourg
Engagement type: Contract / consulting assignment
Start date and duration: The project is currently being finalised with the client; the expected start date and duration will be confirmed shortly.
About the opportunity
Skillfinder International is currently looking to identify experienced Swiss Fund Accounting / Fund Administration specialists for an upcoming consulting assignment with one of our key financial services clients in Luxembourg.
Our client is supporting a strategic fund migration project involving Swiss funds. The end client has acquired an entity managing Swiss funds and is now assessing how these funds can be migrated onto a fund administration software platform.
The client requires external Swiss market expertise to understand the specific accounting, operational and functional considerations linked to Swiss funds. The objective is to assess what the existing platform can already cover, where there may be functional gaps, what could be managed through configuration, and what may require additional business requirements or further development.
This is a senior advisory and analytical role, suited to a consultant or subject matter expert with strong Swiss fund administration experience and the ability to work closely with product, business analysis, services and client delivery teams.
Key responsibilities
As a Swiss Fund Accounting / Fund Administration Subject Matter Expert, you will be expected to:
- Provide specialist expertise on Swiss Fund Accounting and Fund Administration practices.
- Help assess the operational and functional specificities of Swiss funds within a migration context.
- Analyse client requirements and compare them with Swiss market standards.
- Support gap analysis between Swiss fund requirements, client expectations and existing platform capabilities.
- Identify what is already covered by the system and where additional configuration, development or external processing may be required.
- Review and contribute to business requirements documents and functional specifications.
- Advise product, services and delivery teams on Swiss fund administration processes.
- Help stakeholders understand the accounting, operational and regulatory considerations linked to Swiss funds.
- Participate in workshops, requirement clarification sessions and project alignment meetings.
- Support the definition of a practical migration approach for Swiss funds.
- Travel to Luxembourg when required for key workshops and stakeholder meetings.
Profile required
We are looking for candidates with strong experience in Swiss Fund Accounting, Swiss Fund Administration or related fund servicing activities.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Strong knowledge of Swiss fund structures, fund accounting processes and fund administration practices.
- Experience working with Swiss funds or Swiss fund servicing environments.
- Previous experience within an asset servicer, fund administrator, bank, asset manager, ManCo, consulting firm or financial software provider.
- The ability to assess business requirements and identify functional or operational gaps.
- Experience supporting migration, onboarding, platform implementation, operational transformation or change projects.
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate market expertise into practical recommendations.
- The ability to advise and challenge senior stakeholders in a constructive way.
- Strong written and spoken English.
- The flexibility to travel to Luxembourg for at least 5 days per month.
Nice to have
The following experience would be beneficial:
- Knowledge of Multifonds, MFGI or similar fund administration platforms.
- Experience reviewing BRDs, FSDs or functional design documentation.
- Previous consulting or project-based advisory experience.
- Exposure to Luxembourg, Swiss or cross-border fund servicing environments.
- Knowledge of operational, regulatory or accounting topics linked to Swiss funds.
Working arrangement
The role will be linked to Luxembourg, where the project and key delivery teams are based. However, the client is open to a flexible hybrid model, with a large part of the assignment delivered remotely.
The consultant must be able to spend a minimum of 5 days per month in the Luxembourg office, mainly for workshops, project alignment sessions and key stakeholder meetings.
Why apply?
This is a highly specialised consulting opportunity for someone who enjoys combining Swiss market expertise, functional analysis and advisory work.
You will help a major financial services client assess how Swiss funds can be migrated onto a fund administration platform, while supporting key decisions around system coverage, business requirements, operational readiness and potential development needs.
