The role of a Corporate Secretary in mainstream funds involves a range of responsibilities centered around ensuring legal compliance, facilitating meetings, providing support to the Fund Corporate Services team, and managing client portfolios. Here's an elaboration on the key tasks and qualifications required:
Responsibilities:
1. Legal and Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to all legal and regulatory requirements related to domiciliary and corporate secretary activities within the fund industry.
2. Meeting Facilitation: Organize and participate in annual general meetings and board meetings, managing formalities according to individual client needs.
3. Supporting Fund Corporate Services: Assist the team in executing domiciliation and corporate secretary services by autonomously managing a portfolio of clients.
Requirements:
1. Education & Experience: Hold a Master's degree with a minimum of 5 years' experience in the Luxembourg Fund Industry, specifically in domiciliary activities and corporate secretarial services.
2. Regulatory Knowledge: Possess a strong understanding of Luxembourg Investment Fund regulations and Commercial Companies Law as it pertains to Luxembourg Investment Funds.
3. Operational Skills: Demonstrate proficiency in fund operational services and familiarity with MS Office applications.
4. Work Ethic: Collaborative team player with the ability to work independently, being client-centric, result-oriented, and adept at prioritizing tasks.
5. Communication Skills: Excellent command of English (both verbal and written) is essential. Strong communication, structured approach, organizational agility, and pragmatism are important.
6. Workload Management: Capable of handling a substantial workload with a high level of accuracy and productivity.
