Consultant Derivatives (Hedge Fund services)

Role type - Contract (12 Months)
Rate - Hourly (to be discussed based on PAYE or LTD company / Umbrella)

I’m working with one of the world’s leading financial institutions who specialise in providing asset servicing solutions and asset management to both institutional and personal clients.

Team

My clients hedge fund services offer world-class, scalable technology and dedicated expertise to serve hedge funds and large institutional investors with complex portfolios and product types.
The business provides comprehensive middle office and administration services, including trade processing, asset servicing, valuation and profit and loss reporting, cash and collateral management, reconciliations, accounting and NAV calculations and investor servicing and reporting.
The job involves working for a Global fund administrator, specializing in administering assets of complex hedge funds. Familiarity with Over-The-Counter (OTC) products would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

•Efficiently identifies and resolves transaction discrepancies between firm and swap counterparties
•Ensuring timely receipt of electronic-based OTC confirmations from trading counterparties
•Reviewing swap confirmations covering all OTC products
•Managing the settlement of swap cash flows associated with OTC products, including unwinds, quarterly fees, resets, upfront fees, coupons and premiums
•Communicating effectively with both internal partners and clients, tailoring info to audience as required
•Ad/hoc projects to meet and enhance client deliverables

Skills / Experience

•Excellent written and oral communication skills
•Proven team player, taking ownership for own role while contributing to wider team efforts
•Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures, familiar with financial markets and instruments and Hedge Fund structures
•Work experience in an operational role desirable. All other relevant experience taken into account.
•Client service experience desired
•Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines in a demanding and fast growing department
•Highly flexible and adaptable to change
•Undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting or related subject
