Developer

Duration: 6 months initially a potential extension
Location: Anywhere in the UK (Hybrid working – Inside IR35)

Must be able to reach one of the regional sites – London, Manchester, or Leeds)

Role:

•Ability to build/run cloud infrastructure and software services primarily within the 3 public cloud environments (AWS, Azure, and GCP).
•Managing/mentoring/coaching own team of engineers.
•Building infrastructure with Terraform or other IaC tools.
•Stakeholder management – and supporting the clients where needed.
•Supporting the wider infrastructure community and assisting other teams, debugging problems, etc.
•Develop tools and services that are useful in DevOps environments e.g., performance monitoring, security monitoring, deployment/configuration, continuous integration/build servers, and cloud resource creation scripts.

Individual:

•Leadership/Management experiences of a small-medium size team
•Ability to use technical and non-technical explanations to various business partners.
•Experiences with Linux/Unix/Microsoft configuration
•Experiences with public cloud providers e.g., AWS, Azure, and/or GCP
•Proven experiences in software development or scripting languages e.g., Python/Go/PowerShell/Nodejs/C# or equivalent.
•CI/CD Pipelining skills using Octopus/TeamCity/Jenkins/Azure DevOps or equivalent
•Product focussed, build once and reuse
•Automation – and working in an agile environment
•Technological cloud – containerization of existing infrastructure and projects.
