Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled SimCorp Dimension (SCD) Pool Fund Accounting Expert with deep functional and technical understanding of General Ledger (GL) processes, pooled fund structures, and investment accounting workflows. The successful candidate will play a critical role in a system transformation programme, with a primary focus on GL conversion and data migration into SimCorp Dimension.
The role requires both domain expertise in pool fund accounting and hands-on experience configuring, validating, and reconciling GL data within SimCorp Dimension modules. You will serve as a subject matter authority across business, operations, and technology teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. SimCorp Dimension Expertise

Act as the SimCorp Dimension SME for Pool Fund Accounting and General Ledger functionalities.

Support the configuration, validation, and optimisation of SCD modules related to:
-
General Ledger
-
Accounting Book Structures
-
IBOR/ABOR alignment
-
Pooled fund structures & unitisation
-
NAV allocation and calculation
-

Work closely with SimCorp consultants and internal teams to ensure target-state design aligns with business and accounting requirements.
2. GL Data Migration & Conversion (SimCorp Dimension)
-
Lead end-to-end GL data migration activities into SimCorp Dimension, including:
-
Data mapping from legacy systems
-
COA mapping into SCD
-
Trial balance extraction and transformation
-
Opening balances migration
-
Historical transactions loading (if in scope)
-

Perform reconciliation between legacy GL and SCD to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance.
-
Define migration rules, dependencies, and validation controls specific to SimCorp Dimension’s accounting engine.
3. Pool Fund Accounting Subject Matter Expertise
-
Provide expert guidance on:
-
Pooled fund accounting methodologies
-
Unitised products
-
Allocation methods (pro-rata, NAV-based, custom logic)
-
Multi-book accounting and fund hierarchies
-

Ensure treatment of accounting events aligns with investment products, regulatory standards, and SimCorp capabilities.
4. Functional Specification & Testing
-
Support requirements gathering and documentation for SCD GL components.
-
Create or validate functional specifications for:
-
GL configuration
-
Reporting structures
-
Accounting workflows
-
Data interfaces to/from SimCorp
-

Lead or support testing cycles:
-
Functional testing
-
System integration testing
-
UAT
-
Parallel runs
-
Migration dry-runs & reconciliations

5. Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership

Liaise with business users, accounting teams, data migration teams, and SimCorp specialists.

Translate complex accounting and SCD technical concepts into business-friendly language.

Provide regular status updates, issue tracking, and guidance across project workstreams.
Required Skills & Experience

Extensive hands-on experience with SimCorp Dimension, ideally 5+ years.
-
10+ years in fund accounting, with deep expertise in pool fund accounting and GL processes.

Proven track record delivering GL conversion and data migration into SimCorp Dimension or similar investment accounting platforms.

Strong understanding of:

Multi-entity and multi-book accounting

NAV calculation and pooled fund allocation

Ability to analyse and reconcile complex financial datasets during migration cycles.
