File Transfer Systems Engineer



The Role:



• Collaborate with other teams within GTS to ensure smooth integration of File Transfer technologies with other systems and applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to File Transfer software on Linux and Windows platforms
• Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate solutions using File Transfer services
• Assist in the development and execution of test cases to ensure the quality and reliability of File Transfer services
• Document and maintain technical specifications, installation guides, and operational procedures for File Transfer software
• Keep up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies related to File Transfer services
• Provide guidance and support to junior members of the team
• Participate in cross-functional project teams to implement new File Transfer solutions or enhance existing ones
• Collaborate with security teams to ensure compliance with data protection and information security policies and regulations within File Transfer services.

Skills



• Ability to manage and support IBM Sterling software, including Connect:Direct, Connect:Express, Sterling B2B Integrator/File Gateway, and IBM Control Center
• Proficiency in managing Middleware on Linux and Windows platforms
• Familiarity with scripting languages used with Ansible/Tower
• Knowledge of security concerns, networking, system availability, and performance
• Experience with Mainframe and HP Nonstop platforms • Strong desire to learn and share expertise with peers and stakeholders
• Ability to handle uncertainty and complexity, and identify areas for process improvement
• Client and results-oriented mindset with a focus on quality
• Ability to take ownership and resolve conflicts with appropriate support
• Sufficient level of English proficiency for working in IT
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum team
