Financial Reporting Consultant

11 Month Initial Contract
Umbrella Required - Max Pay £380 per day
Needs to be a financial accountant with experience working in investment companies

Introduction

You will join the Financial Reporting oversight team as a Financial Reporting Consultant to deliver high quality client service. The main responsibilities are to oversee the timely production, review and sign-off of financial accounts of Investment Trusts, OEIC funds, and other reporting deliverables produced by my client's offshore team.

Responsibilities

•Review and sign off interim and annual financial accounts, month-end AIC return submission and Board reporting. This includes sign-off of XD working papers, distribution rates and proofing of accounts to the required IFRS/ UK GAPP and AIC SORP.
•Liaise with the clients, tax consultants and auditors in dealing with queries and provide timely responses.
•Communicate professionally & effectively with other departments including custody, NAV team and client service mangers ensuring client needs are met to expected standards.
•Timely reporting of KPI reports to clients.
•Review the annual budget and quarterly forecasts of fund revenues and expenses for Board reporting.
•Review weekly fund expenses and authorise for payments.
•Support the development of the offshore accounts production team and provide feedback on performance to managers and senior leadership team.
•Continually assess the oversight team’s processes to improve efficiency and reduce risk, as well as assisting in the enhancement of departmental procedures.
•Assist the Company Secretary with administrative tasks and support with stock exchange announcements.
•Attend Board and Committee meetings when required.
