About the Role:

As a Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative development team responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining enterprise-level applications. You’ll also play a key role in analyzing production issues and contributing to architectural improvements, with opportunities to work on both on-premise and cloud-based systems.

The application you'll be working on is a client self-service platform that streamlines onboarding processes and supports dynamic changes in client configurations. This role offers the chance to work on a high-impact system with multiple interfaces and cross-departmental workflows, as well as participate in a major expansion initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop large and/or complex software components.
• Define and execute test cases; report on testing progress and results.
• Analyze production incidents and recommend remediation strategies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement new features and enhancements.
• Contribute to the migration and integration of systems with cloud architecture.

Must-Have Skills:

• Strong analytical and design thinking abilities.
• Proficiency in Java 8+, Spring Framework, REST APIs, SQL (Oracle), Linux, and bash scripting.
• Experience with GUI development using Apache Wicket, React, TypeScript, Bootstrap, and CSS.
• Hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker, Docker Compose, or OpenShift.
• Solid understanding of agile development practices and a test-driven mindset.
• University degree in Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or equivalent experience.
• Fluent in English (spoken and written).

Nice-to-Have Skills:

• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform.
• German language skills (optional).
