We are looking for a very hands-on Head of IT, ideally with experience in asset management/financial industry experience.


Implementation and support of server, network and security infrastructure across data-centers.
Manage small IT support team to ensure a high standard of service delivery
Oversight of telecoms providers
Management and optimization of IT and data budgets
Develop, manage and monitor security standards and controls appropriate to business and regulatory requirements.
Monitor and develop business continuity provisions to provide highly available network and server infrastructure
Implement and manage market data feeds including connectivity, cost control and compliance with exchange and vendor policies
Plug into development teams to provide infrastructure, connectivity and support for in-house software project
Project management of infrastructure projects and software delivered by third parties
End user support as last point of escalation and to cover staff holidays and busy periods

Technical Skills

Windows Server technologies. AD, Hyper-V, Exchange, SQL, Storage Spaces Direct
Configuration and monitoring of Cisco network infrastructure including Switches, Firewalls and web proxies
In-depth knowledge of server and storage hardware
Understanding good security practices for software and infrastructure
Familiar with financial software technology solutions such as EMS/PMS systems, Bloomberg, etc

Marked data management. Implement and administer enterprise market data feeds and knowledge of exchange policies. Experience with Bloomberg B-Pipe and global equity exchanges highly preferential
Experience integrating with an in-house development team to deliver a business critical application
Awareness of financial/privacy regulations and resulting IT requirements
Understanding of trade execution process and data connectivity requirements with counter parties
