Manager Accounting & Reporting

As a Manager, you get the opportunity to develop your management, consulting and commercial skills by being responsible for delivering projects and building strong relationships with clients. You play an active role in local and international multidisciplinary engagements in reporting and accounting functions triggered by regulatory changes and/or the need or ambition to optimise or innovate these functions. We help our clients all the way from vision and strategy to the implementation of changes and innovations in their functions, governance, organisations, processes and data-landscape.

Your missions

Besides delivery at clients, you play an active role in business development and developing new propositions and data science assets together with your colleagues internally.
As a Manager in the Data, Finance Risk & Compliance Capability Group, you:
advise leading multinationals on how to build an efficient and compliant accounting and reporting function;
are on top of the latest data and technology driven trends and developments in the financial services;
actively participate in commercial processes by leading sales opportunities;
lead multidisciplinary project delivery teams as a project manager;
are responsible for timely project delivery meeting or exceeding client expectations;
act as change manager and thought leader focussed on sustainable innovations and transformations;
manage partnerships that can be beneficial for our business and clients in Accounting and Reporting;
contribute to the growth and development of your colleagues and our Capability Group.

The profile, knowledge, experience and skills required for that role

You have strong communication and consulting skills, take initiative and do the extra mile to deliver the best possible result for our clients and your colleagues. Under time constraints, you analyse problems and come up with creative, innovative solutions and insights. Absorbing information on digital developments quickly and applying this effectively is one of your strengths. You are collaborative in style, empathic in nature, confident in content and focused on outcomes at all levels in the client organization. You already have a warm network within the financial service industry in The Netherlands, that you can nurture and engage with to create new business opportunities. Moreover, you are known for your domain expertise and generate work as a result of it.
Other things that you bring are:
A University Masters’ degree, preferably in a field such as Finance and Accounting, Business Economy or Business Administration, and ideally you wrote your thesis focused on regulatory challenges and/or data driven innovations in the accounting and reporting functions of financial institutions, CFA certification is a plus
You have at least 5 years of working experience in a consulting firm or leading financial institution
Well experienced in leading change, innovation or transformation engagements in Financial Service, scoping and developing approaches and planning, monitoring and control of progress, stakeholder management and issue resolution while working in cross functional teams;
Experience with reporting and accounting, data management and innovation in these domains
Fluent in English, both written and spoken. Proficiency in Dutch is considered a real advantage, proficiency in French or German is a plus.
You are already located in the Netherlands and fit the visa requirements to assure you are eligible to work in the Netherlands.
