QA Test Engineer

QA Test Engineer, Luxembourg - Contract

What you will do?

•Test a large-scale, custom distributed software system built with Java and JavaScript technologies: Spring Boot, AngularJS and Cloud Foundry.
•Use Open Source testing tools like Selenium to automate testing.
•Identify tests through strategic thinking.
•Triage failures, identify root-cause, and define corrective actions.
•Work closely with developers, business and other quality analysts in a highly collaborative environment.

What do you need to succeed?
Must have:

•An Agile mindset and team player
•Experience with Open Source testing tools such as Selenium, Robot, Protractor and JMeter.
•Knowledge of Scripting Languages like JavaScript and Python.
•Ability to query and create test data in a relational database using SQL.
•Be proactive in pointing to weakness of the testing target system, and proposing the solutions.
•Co-own the quality of the software together with the rest of the development team.

Good to have:

•Experience with QTP, Load Runner, HPQC.
•Experience working in a Scrum environment and knowledge of the Definition of Done.
•Awareness of basic OO programming (Classes/Methods, etc.).
•Awareness of how software developers test their code, be able to understand weaknesses of their tests, and suggest improvements on the conceptual level.
