Simcorp Data Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer (contractor) with experience in Asset Management Industry and with deep proficiencies with SimCorp Dimension's Investment Management Warehouse. The Data Engineer will work closely with our middle and back office operations teams to onboard existing sources of data and build integration pipelines to and from Simcorp IBOR. Ideal candidate needs to have excellent SQL development skills and deep understanding of Simcorp data integration toolsets

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with Product and Data owners and data operations team to understand the requirements of data migration and data conversion from legacy applications to Simcorp IBOR
• Build ETL loaders to populate Simcorp IBOR, data warehouse and data marts.
• Build database models for transactional databases, data warehouses and data marts
• Build reports using QlikSense on Simcorp Datawarehouse (IMW)
• Identify poorly performing SQL queries and Optimize for performance
• Support data issues with production applications.
• Work closely with the business teams, business analysts in understanding requirements and produce high quality deliverables

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer or Information Science
3+ years of PLSQL/T-SQL development experience on SQL-Server, Oracle or Sybase
3+ years of experience with database modelling using data modelling tools
Experience with master data management tools (Markit EDM, Informatica MDM) is a plus
Deep knowledge of Simcorp integration toolsets such as DFS, Extractor and communication server
Knowledge of investment financial data to serve application integration to trading platform and reporting is strongly desired
Prior experience working on Agile scrum teams in a scaled framework is preferred
Experience with Kafka, Spark and other distributed system architecture for data integration is desired
Ability to work and thrive under pressure in a fast paced, mission critical environment
Detail oriented with excellent communication skills
