Unix/Linux Engineer
Job Type: Freelance (6-month contract with possible extensions)
Location: Luxembourg (Near Train Station)
Languages: Mandatory: French & English - Preferred: German & Luxembourgish

About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Unix/Linux Engineer to join our dynamic team on a freelance basis. This 6-month contract offers the potential for extensions based on performance and project needs. As a key member of our team, you will actively participate in daily operational tasks to ensure the seamless operation of our IT environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Monitoring & Maintenance:
Oversee and maintain SOLARIS and RHEL environments.
Perform regular system checks and monitor performance to pre-emptively address issues.
Change Requests:
Handle and implement change requests related to SOLARIS and RHEL environments.
Manage change requests for storage and backup environments.
Incident Resolution:
Participate in resolving Level 3 incidents across various infrastructure areas.
Support & Collaboration:
Assist the team with additional tasks related to production environments.
Contribute to infrastructure projects as needed.
Qualifications & Skills:
Certifications:
Solaris/Linux certifications are highly desirable.
ISO, Project Management, and BCP certifications are a plus. Please specify certifications obtained or in preparation, including estimated exam dates.
Technical Expertise:
Proficiency in managing and troubleshooting Solaris and RHEL environments.
Experience with storage and backup systems.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle complex incidents.
Language Skills:
Fluency in French and English is mandatory.
Proficiency in German and Luxembourgish is considered an asset.
Personal Attributes:
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Adaptability and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Additional Information:
On-Site Requirement:
The role requires an on-site presence in Luxembourg, 4 days a week, near the train station. Flexibility is essential to meet project demands and collaborate effectively with the team.
