Business / Application Support Analyst
Introduction
My client manages the assets of some of the world's largest institutions, financial intermediaries, and their clients. Their culture welcomes independent thinkers and centres around investment excellence, a long-term perspective and a dedication to client service.
The primary focus of this role it to provide comprehensive business and technical application support for multiple applications within the Investment Platform, with a specific emphasis on supporting the settlement cycle for U.S. transactions transitioning to T+1 through Charles River/SimCorp applications.
Your Role
· Deliver support to Operations Teams during the T+1 settlement cycle through a London Late Shift from 2.30pm to 10.30pm UTC.
· Deliver training and coaching to employees on the supported applications.
· Stay up to date on recent and upcoming changes to applications and processes.
· Develop relationships with users to gain a deep understanding of their work.
· Continuously suggest technical and business process improvements.
· Document processes, tasks, and procedures for support activities.
Your Profile
· Possess a degree in technology or a related field with a financial focus.
· Have experience working in Asset Management or the banking sector.
· Demonstrate a solid understanding of financial instruments, including Fixed Income, Derivatives, Equities, and FX.
· Proficient in Windows, UNIX, SQL, Oracle, including strong database querying skills.
· Knowledge of ITIL best practices
· Possess an analytical and problem-solving mindset.
· Capable of working under pressure with a strong sense of responsibility.
· Excellent communication skills.
· A strong team player, capable of collaborating with team members and clients across multiple sites.
