Citrix IT Project Consultant

Citrix and Powershell IT Project Consultant | Leading Global Custodian Bank Based in Luxembourg | €450pd - €550pd Dependent on Experience

Six month rolling contract (two year average contract time) | WFH but willing to work in the office when Covid settles | English speaking and writing required, with French or German being a benefit.

IT Project Consultant in the Change the Bank, Application Development department working with Citrix Xenapp, XenDesktop, Storefront, and Studio; and Windows Servers and Scripting on Windows Powershell. Please see exact requirements below:

Required:

3rd line maintenance and support (note: Citrix related is bonus)
Experience of working with and managing Citrix Xenapp / XenDesktop / Storefront / Studio
Experience with VDI management and provision
Administration of production environment Active Directory domain, DNS and Group policy

Required, but will consider without some:

Proficient in ITIL Principles, mainly change, incident, and problem management processes
Ability to take part of upgrading and updating the OS systems
Ability to take part of upgrading and updating the system’s applications, installing it with up to date descriptions
Ability to develop, maintain, and document Windows and infrastructure installation and configuration procedures
Ability to provide technical assistance for all Windows servers and/or desktops
Ability to troubleshoot VM environment problems, and provide technical support
PowerShell scripting / debugging
Understanding of storage, SAN and Backup technologies
Knowledge of O365 Apps

Desirable for a Senior:

Previous experience and managing of Citrix Farms 6.5 / 7.x, migrations and upgrades
Previous experience with Citrix ADC/Gateway or Citrix Netscaler (note: this part is usually covered by Network Team, so general knowledge about them should suffice)
In-depth knowledge of user profile virtualisation (Citrix UPM and Microsoft FSLogix)
Gold/Master image creation and maintenance - Citrix PVS/MCS and/or SCCM/MEMC
Capacity planning and management of Citrix Infrastructure
Ability to take full control and accountability for applying, implementing, maintaining, and examining the documentation of Citrix Infrastructure
Strong skills troubleshooting and resolve support issues pertaining to Citrix Citrix Xenapp / XenDesktop / Storefront functionality
Improving and adjusting the Virtual Desktop system
Experience with VMware stack - ESXi, VMware vCenter and/or MS Hyper-V
VMware, vSphere, and vCenter management and administration
Design, understanding and implement platform security
Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft DC / DNS / AD / DHCP / Group policy
Experience with IIS, WSUS, SCCM/MEMC, MS SQL, RDS, and Windows Cluster management
