Digital Platform Specialist (Apache Iceberg, Spark, Flink, Kafka)

Digital Platform Specialist – Geneva (On-site | 12-month contract)

Banking sector. High complexity.

This role is 5 days a week on-site in Geneva. No remote. No hybrid. Before you scroll away, that’s not because they don’t trust people to work from home. It’s because the systems you’ll be working with can’t be accessed remotely.

 Still here? Good. You’re probably the kind of person who values hands-on access to critical infrastructure and isn’t fazed by a high-stakes, high-impact environment. This could be your thing.

 You'll be doing things like:

• Designing and maintaining the entire data lakehouse architecture using Apache Iceberg, Spark, Flink.

• Managing real-time and batch data pipelines via Apache NiFi and Kafka.

• Setting up SingleStore for high-performance querying.

• Automating platform deployments with CI/CD pipelines.

• Making sure data governance, quality, and security aren't just buzzwords.

• Enabling self-service for internal data consumers, so they don’t ping you every time they need a dashboard.

 Tech stack you should be fluent in:

• Apache Spark, Kafka, NiFi, Flink, Iceberg, SingleStore

• Cloud platforms: AWS, Azure, or GCP. They're not picky, but you should be cloud-comfortable

• Containers and orchestration: Docker, Kubernetes

• Infra as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation

• Programming: Python, Java, or Scala (doesn’t matter which, just don’t fear code)

• SQL and data modelling. You're expected to know your way around a schema

 The contract:

• 12 months to start, with potential for renewal

• Start as soon as you can

• Based on-site in Geneva
