Event-Driven System Engineer – Geneva (On-site | 12-month contract)

A leading bank in Geneva is scaling up its real-time data infrastructure to support AI workloads, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG). They’re looking for an engineer who knows how to build and run high-throughput streaming systems that don’t buckle under pressure.

What you’ll do:

• Design and build large-scale streaming pipelines using Kafka, Flink, and Beam

• Handle real-time data transformation and processing

• Integrate streams with the bank’s lakehouse architecture

• Monitor and fine-tune pipeline performance

• Work closely with AI teams to support real-time RAG use cases

What you bring:

• 5+ years in streaming/data architecture

• Deep hands-on with Kafka, Flink, and event-driven systems

• Strong programming in Java, Python, or Scala

• Understanding of event-driven design

• Experience with cloud-based streaming tools
