Functional Analyst - Freelance - Ghent Belgium

A contract position, as Functional Analyst, with a competitive day rate plus a modern office layout located in Ghent.

Responsibilities:
• You are responsible for the functional analysis of data to be delivered in the context of regulatory banking reporting, and for making the mappings from the Data Warehouse Shared Data Model
towards Wolter Kluwer Regulatory Reporting Tool (WKFS-RiskPro).
• You have a good insight in the E2E flow from gathering the needed data, storing it in the DWH and
disclose it to the business parties. As such experience is required in Data Warehouse environment with DWH modelling expertise and a thorough knowledge of SQL language.
• You can challenge the requirements made by business and take them further towards the functional analysis phase. Product knowledge is key in this phase.
• Together with the modelers and DWH Specialists you make sure the DWH provides the data needed.
• You make the analysis for the mapping of the data from the DWH to our Application Data Mart and
• Wolters Kluwer Reporting Tool.
• Experience with Power Designer and/or Wolter Kluwer RiskPro is a plus.

Profile / Experience:
• As a functional analyst you have a profound IT experience
• Extensive experience in finance and banking
• Knowledge of the products (derivatives, bonds etc.)
• Experience in regulatory reporting and domain treasury
• Ability to perform efficient queries (Oracle SQL, Tera data)
• Good communication skills
• Good analytical skills, comparing the old data warehouse vs the new data warehouse
• Oracle, SQL vs Tera Data, while grasping the business requirements of those attributes.
• JIRA, Confluence
• SAFe experience
• WKFS RiskPro experience

You should ideally have experience working in financial sector. This is a contract position, and we are looking for a self-starter working closely with a small team.
