Java Developer

Java Developer // UK based / Hybrid working

Duration: 3-months rolling contract (Strong likelihood of a renewal)
Location: Luxembourg (Hybrid, 2 days on site a week)

Role/Individual:

Fantastic opportunity to work within financial services at one of the largest banks in Luxembourg on their Connectivity Development Team!

•Very good technical skills in the following domains are required:

-Object oriented analysis and software design
-Java SE 8 or higher / Java EE 6 and 7
-REST web services
-Maven
-Unix/Linux
-Git and Github
-Oracle SQL

Experience in one or more of the following areas will be of advantage:

-Deploying applications to Application Servers JBoss / EAP
-Public cloud computing (AWS, Azure, GPC…)
-Docker / Kubernetes / OpenShift / ArgoCD
-OpenShift Service Mesh / Google Tekton
-Linux Shell scripting
-HTML / CSS / Javascript / React
-Agile development

The following interpersonal skills are essential:

-Strong communication skills and ability to negotiate
-Highly self-motivated, self-directed and attentive to details
-Proficiency in written and spoken English
-Critical thinking, the ability to identify problems and propose solutions
-Knowledge of French and/or German is an asset.
