NFR Test Engineer

Responsible for the definition of the NFR test strategy (performance, security, DRP, usability), test planning, test development and execution. They will work alongside the IT teams to ensure that the non-functional-requirements (NFRs) are defined effectively and that the tests are executed to plan.

Daily Responsibilities:

- conduct workshops with business teams to collect NFRs for the new web portal
- conduct workshops with IT teams to collect NFRs for end-to-end backend tests
- design NFR test cases (TACs)
- prepare strategy NFR test data (e.g. define volumes, define distribution of ref-data, define expected behavior)
- prepare strategy for mocking/stubbing of interfaces
- execute NFR test cases (performance, security, crash/recovery, usability)
- implement & run automated end-to-end NFR test cases (LoadRunner)
- implement & run automated (non-)functional regression tests (Selenium or Cucumber)
- log test results and issues (ALM)
- compose close-down report

Desired Skills and Experience:

- NFR engineering and NFR verification tests
- IaaS in GCP
- disaster recovery testing (crash/recovery) in distributed environments (failover strategies, messaging, streaming)
- security testing (TLS secured channels, authentication, authorization, session handling)
- usability testing of web portal (response times)
- automated performance testing (e.g. LoadRunner)
- using SQL to query Oracle database for test verifications
- utilization of test automation frameworks such as Selenium or Cucumber
