​Real Estate Private Equity (REPE) Business Consultant - Luxembourg Permanent role


REPE Business consultant required by a specialist global solutions vendor, is committed to supporting the most demanding Asset Servicers, Investment Managers, and Institutional Investors in the Private Equity and Real Estate (PERE) sector by providing enterprise investment accounting data management solutions designed to deliver transparency, insight and accountability for all stakeholders. Specialising in software solutions for the global PERE sectors, The Client is the partner of choice in the most challenging fund accounting, administration, reporting, and investment analytics functions. Multi-currency and multi-instrument, Client’s services a comprehensive range of underlying sub-assets and fund-types across leading jurisdictions.

Primary Responsibilities

Their projects are typically with large asset and fund servicers looking to implement a global platform, or with regional specialists who are making their first step towards an integrated application to support their business.

This is a client-facing role requiring a blend of implementation, relationship management and subject matter expertise. The majority of time in this role will be spent in post-sales implementation / on-boarding and ongoing client relationship support.

Primary responsibilities include:

Preparation of pre-sales meeting collateral
Attend presentations to prospects & clients
Project management (internal and external facing)

  1. Project Initiation Document definition

  2. Project communications – definitions/specs and progress monitoring

  3. Client business / functional requirement gathering (BRD/FRD): work-flow and use-case documentation and/or supervising/facilitating the same

  4. Support client requirements (subject matter activities)

  5. Resource management (from a project perspective) – marshalling and motivating colleagues to address client needs including mobilising our resources and deploying to the benefit of the client.

Reporting to management

  1. Upward reporting / situation reports / summaries

  2. Account plans and financial estimates

  3. Outlook and reviews

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Minimum 2-3 year relevant market sector experience (fund services withing Alternative Investment / PERE sector including functional experience of Operations, Middle Office, Audit)

  • Previous exposure to large investment management and administration organisations in the PERE or alternatives funds sector.

  • Client-facing: experienced presenter to clients and prospects in pre- and post-sales situations

  • Client Service Management Business Analysis, including knowledge of project and programme methodologies and full project life-cycle Has worked in and able to coordinate multi-disciplinary teams; Systems, Subject Matter Experts, Sales, Product and Client Management Strong leadership, persuasion and problem-solving skills, along with diplomacy and advocacy

  • Excellent communication (including presentation), listening and interpersonal skills:

  • English fluency, French would be a strong asset
