Senior Data Engineer (Spark / Scala) – Quantexa Implementation

We’re looking for a hands-on Data Engineer with strong Spark + Scala expertise and proven experience delivering Quantexa implementations (implementation experience required — not certification only). You’ll build scalable data pipelines, contribute production-quality code, and mentor junior engineers.  This is a remote role with the occasional client site visit.

Key Responsibilities

•             Develop and optimise scalable data pipelines using Spark (Scala)

•             Deliver key components of Quantexa implementations (data ingestion, transformation, integration)

•             Write clean, testable code and contribute to engineering best practices

•             Mentor and support junior team members through code reviews and coaching

•             Work with technical and non-technical stakeholders to deliver client outcomes

Must Have

•             Strong Spark + Scala engineering experience (production-level)

•             Excellent object-oriented programming skills

•             Proven Quantexa implementation delivery experience (hands-on)

•             Ability to mentor / coach junior engineers

Nice to Have

•             Databricks experience

•             Cloud experience (AWS / Azure / GCP)

•             CI/CD and orchestration tooling exposure (Airflow, ADF, Databricks Jobs etc.)

•             SC clearance
