Scrum Master
Our client is a leading financial institution operating in the dynamic landscape of investment and trading. They provide a platform for investors and traders to engage in a wide range of financial instruments. The Investment Funds Department manages a diverse portfolio of investment funds, catering to the unique needs of our clients.
Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrum Master to join our Investment Funds Department. As a Scrum Master, you will play a pivotal role in guiding and facilitating the agile development processes within our team. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of projects that drive innovation and efficiency in the investment funds domain.
Key Responsibilities:
•Scrum Facilitation: Act as a servant leader for one or more Scrum teams within the Investment Funds Department. Facilitate Scrum ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
•Agile Coaching: Provide coaching and guidance to team members and stakeholders on agile principles, Scrum framework, and best practices. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, self-organization, and accountability within the teams.
•Team Empowerment: Empower the development teams to make decisions, self-organize, and take ownership of their work. Remove impediments and obstacles that hinder the team's progress.
•Collaboration: Foster strong collaboration between cross-functional teams including developers, analysts, product owners, and other stakeholders. Promote open communication and knowledge sharing to enhance overall project understanding.
•Backlog Management: Work closely with product owners and business stakeholders to prioritize and maintain a well-defined product backlog. Ensure that user stories are clear, concise, and adequately estimated.
•Metrics and Reporting: Collect and analyze relevant agile metrics to track team progress, velocity, and performance. Present insights and recommendations to continuously enhance the team's efficiency and effectiveness.
•Conflict Resolution: Address conflicts and challenges that arise within the team or between teams. Facilitate productive discussions and guide the resolution process.
•Continuous Learning: Stay current with industry trends and agile methodologies. Proactively seek opportunities to enhance your own knowledge and skills, and share insights with the team.
Qualifications:
•Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; Master's degree preferred.
•Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification preferred.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile software development environment.
•Solid understanding of investment funds, financial markets, and related concepts.
•Proficiency in agile principles, frameworks, and practices.
•Excellent facilitation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
•Ability to lead by example, inspire others, and foster a collaborative team environment.
•Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities.
•Experience with agile project management tools and software.
