Accounting Consultant, SPV Private Equity and Securitisation (Insurance Sector)

Contract: Permanent (CDI)

The opportunity

Join a consulting firm recognised as a local leader in supporting the Luxembourg insurance market. This permanent role offers exposure to high-value assignments at major insurance clients, working on SPVs used in Private Equity and securitisation structures. You will operate close to deal flows, structured finance topics, and finance governance, with strong visibility and stakeholder interaction.

Your mission

Depending on the assignment, you will typically:

SPV accounting and closings (PE and structured finance)

  • Own end-to-end accounting for SPVs (general ledger, reconciliations, intercompany, accruals).

  • Deliver month-end, quarter-end and year-end closings, including cut-off and supporting schedules.

  • Prepare statutory accounts and supporting notes (Lux GAAP, IFRS exposure is a plus).

  • Support audits: documentation, PBC follow-up, interaction with auditors and corporate services.

Securitisation and structured products accounting

  • Record and monitor securitisation assets and liabilities (notes/bonds, tranches, interests, amortisation).

  • Track cash movements and support cash waterfall calculations and fee accruals (servicing, management, trustee, etc.).

  • Produce investor and management reporting packs and ensure consistency across stakeholders.

Insurance client environment and stakeholder management

  • Work within insurance governance frameworks (controls, documentation, timelines, sign-offs).

  • Liaise with finance teams, corporate service providers, banks, lawyers, trustees and auditors.

  • Help improve ways of working: closing packs, reconciliations, reporting templates and controls.

What we are looking for

  • 3+ years of experience in accounting for SPVs, fund/structured finance vehicles, or similar entities in Luxembourg.

  • Solid understanding of SPV setups used in Private Equity and/or securitisation.

  • Strong closing experience: reconciliations, accruals, supporting schedules, audit readiness.

  • Comfortable in a consulting and client-facing context, managing multiple entities and deadlines.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent.

Must-have skills

  • Strong Lux GAAP knowledge (IFRS is a plus).

  • Ability to interpret transaction documentation at a practical level (loan terms, notes, fees, intercompany).

  • Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, pivot tables, lookups).

  • Experience with accounting systems/ERPs and reporting tools.

  • French native level is mandatory.

Nice to have

  • Prior exposure to the Luxembourg insurance sector (finance operations, governance, reporting cycles).

  • Familiarity with securitisation cash waterfall concepts and investor reporting.

  • Knowledge of the Luxembourg structuring ecosystem (corporate services, domiciliation, trustees, auditors).

  • Professional English for documentation and stakeholder interactions.
