Banking Applications Support Specialist (CDI / Permanent Role)

About the Role

We are supporting the Luxembourg headquarters of a major international banking institution (one of the largest Asian financial groups globally) in the recruitment of a Banking Applications Support Specialist.

This role offers strong exposure to critical banking applications and reporting tools, with a mix of operational ownership, technical support, and continuous improvement in a multicultural European setup.

Your Mission

You will ensure the stability, support, and evolution of internal applications and reports used by business teams across Europe. You will work closely with both IT and business stakeholders to deliver reliable solutions and drive adoption.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support & Enhancements

• Analyse business requests and assess feasibility

• Contribute to design, small developments, and functional testing

• Provide patches/fixes and ongoing improvements

• Support UAT with business teams and ensure smooth go-live

Operational Management

• Monitor and maintain key internal platforms (applications, reporting, collaboration tools, RPA, etc.)

• Troubleshoot incidents and resolve production issues

• Maintain a structured approach to documentation and knowledge sharing

European Rollout & Training

• Support deployments to European entities

• Deliver user training and provide Q&A / functional support

• Act as a technical reference point to support adoption

Project & Data Governance Support

• Assist with project delivery follow-up and coordination

• Contribute to internal data governance and operational control topics

• Handle other tasks assigned by IT management

Required Profile

Background

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar

• Experience in application support, IT operations, or systems delivery in a structured environment

Technical Skills

• Hands-on exposure to programming (Java, Python and/or SQL)

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills

• Comfortable working with business users and IT teams

Languages (Mandatory)

• Fluent Mandarin and fluent English are essential

Personal Qualities

• Proactive, reliable, service-oriented

• Strong communication and planning skills

• High sense of discretion and confidentiality (banking environment)
