We are recruiting on behalf of a leading life insurance provider in Luxembourg, seeking a Dutch-speaking Legal Counsel to join a motivated and multicultural legal team. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to exciting projects in a fast-growing environment, where legal expertise and collaboration are at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Monitoring: Track legal and fiscal developments across European markets, with a focus on Belgium, and assess their impact on cross-border life insurance activities.
- Product Design & Review: Actively participate in the development and optimisation of insurance products, including drafting client and partner-facing contracts and commercial documents.
- Operational Support: Work closely with commercial and other departments to address daily needs, including partner requests and administrative processes.
- Claims & Legal Analysis: Assist in claims management and provide in-depth legal and fiscal analysis, including estate planning and wealth structuring requests.
- Documentation & Compliance: Prepare and review legal documents (contracts, mandates, etc.) and ensure adherence to current regulations.
- Internal Communication: Keep relevant teams informed of major legislative changes and best practices.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Experience: 3 years in life insurance, preferably within the Luxembourg market.
- Education: University degree in Law (Master’s level or equivalent).
- Languages: Native Dutch is essential. Fluent French and professional English are required. Additional languages are a plus.
- Technical Skills: Knowledge of wealth structuring within life insurance.
