PMO/PROJECT MANAGER

We are on the lookout for a PMO to join the project of a Global Consultancy to work for one of their end clients.

About you:

Experience of designing and running a PMO effectively - Communications Domain knowledge preferable.
Experience of project planning, preferably using Microsoft Project, and other project management tools.
Experience of financial planning and tracking for a project or programme.
Ability to delegate and oversee work by junior project managers and delivery teams.
Experience of managing PMO processes such as risk management and status reporting.
Experience of communicating to delivery teams to drive alignment on processes and standards.
Qualified in project/programme management (eg PRINCE2, Agile or Managing Successful Programmes).

Key Requirements/Details:

PMO Strategy - To be a PMO lead for a Telecommunication domain programme which is a Large multi-year Data Transformation programme at a major UK Telecoms company
The role is a high-profile role with significant career growth potential. The PMO strategy needs to be written and delivered with a team of offshore (India + Philippines). Reporting into the Delivery Lead, this role needs someone who is process driven, positive about change and ready to make an impact! Immediate start required. This role will push all levels.

Skills:

As a Programme Management Office (PMO)/Project Manager, you will support client transformation programmes to ensure that delivery is controlled, tracked, and governed.

This will involve:

Planning and prioritisation of delivery activities to control scope, schedule, and costs.
Resource planning with blended teams that include clients, contractors, system integrators, and staff.
Tracking costs against budgets.
Supporting the management of key programme governance forums and activities.
Facilitating the effective flow of information through the governance structure.
Defining programme operating processes for managing risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, and change control.
Communicating with workstream teams to ensure that processes are followed.
Management of key documentation and deliverables.
