Project Manager/Business Analyst

As a Project Manager/Business Analyst, your role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities aimed at improving processes, driving efficiency, and ensuring the delivery of quality client service within the investment funds department.


•Project Planning and Implementation: You will actively participate in planning and executing both internal and external projects. This involves defining project scope, objectives, timelines, and coordinating with various teams to ensure successful project delivery.
•Business Analysis: You will draft analysis documents like Business Requirement Documents (BRD), analyze processes, and identify areas for improvement. This includes reviewing and enhancing existing processes, implementing best practices, and exploring opportunities for automation and standardization.
•Continuous Improvement: Establish and maintain a culture of continuous improvement within the department. Regularly assess workflow, processes, and procedures to maximize efficiency and quality.
•Technical Training: Provide technical training for teams or other teams closely collaborating with investment funds when required. Ensure team members are equipped with the necessary skills to execute their roles effectively.
•Process Design: Create process flows and draft business requirements to facilitate process improvements and better operational efficiency.
•IT Development Coordination: Coordinate with the Technology and Operations (T&O) team for IT development projects related to operations.
•Data Management: Take responsibility for data management and efficiency projects related to data. This includes ensuring data quality, accuracy, and accessibility.
•Resource Management: Be responsible for assessing and tracking the Full-Time Equivalent (FTE) resources within the team, optimizing staffing levels as needed.
•Automation: Develop and implement automation solutions for manual processes to increase efficiency and reduce manual workload.
•Quality Client Service: Ensure that the organizational framework supports the delivery of high-quality client service and operational excellence.


•Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in investment funds or the financial services industry, particularly in operations with a strong expertise in data management.
•Project Management/Business Analyst Experience: Proven experience in project management or business analysis, including defining project scopes, requirements, and successful project delivery.
•Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify process improvements and inefficiencies.
•Technical Skills: Proficiency in SQL, VBA, and Access for data analysis and process automation.
•Organizational and Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and meet deadlines effectively.
•Communication: Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English and French (additional languages are an asset).
•Innovation and Change: A track record of developing and implementing innovations and changes to improve processes and operations.
•Technical Expertise: Understanding of operating models end-to-end and knowledge of business drivers within the financial services industry.
•Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal and networking skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, management, colleagues, and staff.

Nice-to-have Qualifications:

• Familiarity with tools and systems such as SARA, Framework, Multifonds, Milvus, and Efront is an asset.
•Possession of project management or business analyst certifications would be advantageous.

Must-have Qualifications:

Education: Post-secondary education with a focus on accounting/finance or business, or equivalent experience.
