REGULATORY REPORTING, SENIOR CONSULTANT



- 12 months contract
- Hybrid Working (3 days on site per week - Wednesday mandatory)


ROLE OVERVIEW



For a globally recognised financial services client with a presence in Limerick, we are seeking a Senior Consultant for the Regulatory Reporting Team.

The senior consultant will prepare and review daily, monthly and quarterly reporting solutions for submission to Regulators across Europe on a wide range of fund structures.

The candidate does not necessarily need to have a regulatory reporting background, what has worked well in previous hires are candidates with FS experience with large data sets, experienced in handling competing deadlines / deliverables.

The team is split into three areas with different tasks and deliverable days usually:
• Monthly and quarterly, (there are also some daily ones depending on the team you work in.)
• The consultant will be reviewing Excels, mark up docs so must have a have an eye for detail.
• It is a client facing role - primarily on the email front and handling correspondence and queries - must have a professional communication style.

You will receive extensive training, there are detailed plans in place and common across the teams so no risk of being left unsupported.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES



• Responsible to provide unrivalled client satisfaction and continuously improve the department’s performance to clients (internal and external) year on year as part of the Regulatory Reporting team
• Provides leadership and guidance to staff, in both onshore and offshore locations, fostering an environment which encourages participation, teamwork, and communication.
• Cultivates and maintains working relationships with relationship managers to ensure client account activity are meeting client needs.
• Assist the team with the development of procedures for the running of Regulatory Reporting with an emphasis on ensuring that the solutions are being run in the most efficient way.
• To conduct performance reviews for team as required, and to be proactive in the development and training needs of self and team.
• Act as an SME on the technical operation of the Regulatory reporting department.
• Identify and develop solutions which can improve the efficiency and accuracy of their Regulatory Reporting services.
• Keep abreast of industry and regulatory developments.

• Internal Stakeholders – Head of Fund Accounting, Section Managers, New Business Teams, Relationship Managers, Client Service Delivery Managers and Product Teams
• External Key Stakeholders – Clients, Investment Managers, Regulators

SKILLS / EXPERIENCE



• Think ‘outside of the box’ when designing or proposing solutions, to help arrive at the most transferrable, simplistic and flexible solution.
• Fund Administration/Regulatory/Finance operational background an advantage.
• Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills.
