Senior Cloud Application Development Engineer (Contract, Luxembourg)

We’re hiring a Senior Cloud Application Development Engineer for a contract role in Luxembourg. You’ll play a key role in developing and managing mission-critical post-trade systems for a major global financial institution, helping design and deliver cutting-edge cloud infrastructure.

In this role, you'll:

• Lead the design, deployment, and support of web and Java-based middleware infrastructure across Azure and GCP using IaaS and PaaS models.

• Build and maintain automation/test frameworks and DevOps pipelines.

• Develop Java application components using JakartaEE APIs.

• Work on 6+ major production releases annually—collaborating with Dev, Infra, and InfoSec teams.

• Own the documentation of architecture and security concepts for high-availability systems.

Essential skills:

• Hands-on with Java development, JakartaEE, JBoss EAP, and httpd

• Strong experience with Azure Cloud and Terraform (preferably Terraform Enterprise)

• Solid grasp of TLS/PKI, web security, and middleware configuration

• DevOps experience using Git, Maven, Linux, IntelliJ or Eclipse

• Fluent in English with excellent technical documentation skills

Nice to have:

• Jenkins, Docker, Ansible, Azure Application Gateway, OpenShift/Kubernetes, ActiveMQ, OpenID Connect
