Role Overview

The Test Engineer Senior will contribute to quality assurance activities within a Front Office Lending system landscape. The role focuses on test design, execution, requirements analysis, documentation, and user support, ensuring that system enhancements and maintenance activities meet defined quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of projects and maintenance tickets
• Analyse and document business rules implemented within lending systems
• Assist in gathering and documenting user requirements for new IT developments, including reporting requirements where applicable
• Prepare required project and testing documentation (requirements documents, test cases, test plans, etc.)
• Execute functional testing activities for lending systems and impacted downstream systems
• Develop and maintain structured test cases and testing documentation
• Identify, document, and track defects
• Provide front-line support and resolve end-user issues
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure high-quality deliverables

Mandatory Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Project Management, Business Management, or a related field
  • In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 7 years of equivalent professional experience may be accepted
• Professional proficiency in English

Mandatory Experience

• Minimum 7 years of experience in software testing and quality assurance

Preferred Experience & Competencies

• Experience within financial services, insurance, or similar regulated environments
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to isolate and document defects effectively
• Knowledge of agile methodologies and experience with agile planning tools (e.g., Jira)
• Experience designing and executing test plans
• Experience in functional testing and test automation scripting
• Experience providing end-user support within a financial environment
• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment
