IT Project Manager 

Overview
We’re looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead the delivery of an offline (air-gapped) backup capability. This initiative will strengthen cyber resilience, improve recovery readiness, and reduce exposure to threats such as ransomware.

Key objectives

• Define and implement an offline backup solution that provides a disconnected, secure copy of critical data.

• Ensure alignment with recognised security and resilience best practices and relevant regulatory frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end project delivery: scope, plan, budget, timeline, RAID log, and success metrics.

• Lead governance and reporting through steering committees and working groups.

• Gather requirements across data sets, recovery targets, retention, encryption, and audit needs.

• Coordinate solution design and integration with existing backup and recovery tooling.

• Support vendor engagement and procurement, including evaluations and delivery milestones.

• Oversee implementation, testing, cutover, and phased rollout.

• Drive recovery validation, integrity checks, and operational readiness exercises.

• Produce runbooks/SOPs and complete handover to BAU teams with training and KPIs.

Required experience

• 7–10 years’ IT project management experience delivering infrastructure, security, DR, or resilience programmes.

• Hands-on delivery of backup / disaster recovery solutions, ideally including offline or air-gapped approaches.

• Strong knowledge of backup architectures, immutability/offline storage concepts, and secure recovery practices.

• Solid understanding of encryption, access controls, segmentation/isolation, and compliance/audit needs.

• Confident stakeholder and vendor manager with excellent communication skills.

Preferred

• PMP / PRINCE2 (or equivalent).

• Experience in regulated or large enterprise environments.

• Cloud/hybrid backup integration exposure.
